WORLD BUILDING
LO2 2.1 - 2.2
World building, in my opinion, is a crucial component of each piece of media that we watch or read but is frequently disregarded and undervalued. I have decided to research into it because I would like to make use of it to create the world for my own animated film.

The process of world building includes visualising, planning, and putting it into action.
Before even writing the script, world building can take place and be either planned ahead of time or explored as the story is being developed.
World building can include, for example, creating the rules and laws for the universe, and making up mythical or futuristic elements.

Worldbuilding tips:

-
Write down the rules and laws
-
Use existing media as inspiration
-
Decide the type of world you want
-
Describe the environment
Neglecting to explain a world's rules is a common world-building mistake. It's important to avoid contradiction when creating a world.
Contradiction can frustrate and confuse your audience more than it surprises them. The best world-building examples involve stories that reveal these "universal rules" subtly and gradually. World Building

WORLD BUILDING CONCLUSIONS
I think that effective world building is essential because it reflects an understanding of the possibilities of the imagination.
The aim of good world building is to make the audience feel like they are there, and this is what I would like to achieve in my animation.
