RESEARCH CONCLUSION
LO2 2.1 - 2.2

Throughout the research stage, I gathered a lot of important information which will help in the production of my project. I believe I have used this research effectively while consistently reaching conclusions for each area of research that I have undertaken. 

 

The process of creating a survey served as a useful starting point for my research development. I chose Google Forms because it has been previously proven to be effective for my previous projects.

 

I found that researching Japanese culture and history was quite beneficial. In particular the information about historical Japanese female warriors and what they would have worn to battle. This has given me a better idea of what clothes my character would wear.

 

I also chose to look into existing media that my survey respondents thought were similar to my concept, which led me to look at Disney's Mulan. I was surprised by the unfavourable reaction of Chinese audiences to this film, despite the fact that Mulan was marketed for a Chinese audience and was set in China.  This demonstrates how easily your intended audience can disregard the product marketed to them.
